Because prefers-reduced-motion isn't the default, but "no autoplay" is. And prefers-reduced-motion is also the correct answer here, because people who have prefers-reduced-motion enabled most likely don't want animating

There are many cases in which animated images are used today where requiring autoplay would break. For example, an online group chat platform that uses tiny animated images for reaction indicators. Having to individually play each reaction

This strikes me as very odd. The post yesterday is about a 2-year-old article. This post is about a brand new article, from the same author, written more or less as a response to all of the responses to the original article over the past 2

It's because it matches the way we speak dates aloud. When intended for human consumption, sortability and big-endianness doesn't matter, but matching the way we speak does. Maybe other cultures actually speak dates differently, I

The parent comment is about merge style, not diff style. Delta displays diffs, it's not a merge tool.

I second a vote for Wipr. A few weeks ago something got temporarily screwed up in Safari and Wipr got disabled and I was shocked at how many ads I was suddenly seeing. I didn't realize quite how much stuff Wipr was blocking until then.

People seem mostly mad about the IAP thing, so I don't understand why everyone keeps lumping third-party payments and third-party app stores together. They're completely orthogonal.
