It's always funny/annoying when a teacher confidently presents misinformation. I still remember my biology teacher told me deoxygenated blood was actually blue. (it's dark red) I'll review those slides you linked. Teach

I have a mix of premade examples that try to help students work around a common mistake, and random problems with generated solutions in KaTex math notation. Although, my experience is that the randomized problems don't seem to be as

I'm a physics teacher. I attempted to improve the text book model by adding some web based interactive elements. I mostly added interactive simulations and questions with step by step solutions. https://landgreen.github.io

I agree. It feels like he is just combining normal Bayesianism with normal quantum mechanics. Which is seems fine, but I'm annoyed he dodged the question about nonconscious things also having a personalized set of priors. I'd like

How is matter.js in multiplayer? I can imagine how local would multiplayer would work, but server-based seems like it might be hard to keep the physics the some for the clients.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't use any social media (except hacker news and reddit). So I didn't know what that experience was like. If any front end developer knows what meta tags are best for this I'd love the help.

thanks for the ideas Originally, I tried aligning the equations to the equal signs, but it increased the display width by about 30%. So, I had to choose from aligning the equal signs or a 30% font size. It still annoys me to see it center

Thanks, In the physics class I teach we go through the examples from the notes. Then, we follow up with real world labs and engineering projects to make it even more concrete. I might make my next project documenting the demos and labs th

I'm a physics and computer science high school teacher, I think lecture takes up about 5-10% of my classes. This is not unusual in high school. (I'm in Los Angeles) On the other hand, when I was a student in college it was about

I have a CO2 meter in my classroom. It would get up to 2000 ppm if the fan was off. At that level you might feel some very mild effects on energy and focus. I keep the air intake on always now.

I already use and pay for CircuitLab. (although I wish the free educator version applied to high school teachers) I use it to design and test circuits for use in teaching physics. Simple stuff: ohm's law, series parallel, Kirchoff&#x

I'm also speculating here, but I think resistance can manifest as slower electrons or as fewer electrons moving at the same speed. On the wire, away from the resistors, the number of electrons that can move should stay constant, so the

A couple things off the top of my head from teaching high school physics: It would make the direction of current the same as the flow of charge. It would make electric fields predict the force on electrons. It would make the right-hand rule

My simulation just runs classical physics (Coulomb's law + Newton's laws). It's missing any mechanism for super conductivity. Although, I could just turn off friction. I think superconductivity means the electrons pair up and
