Sure, vulnerabilities and bugs can happen. They get fixed and people move on. Something much better coming out is not an existential risk for the cryptocurrency/blockchain space, quite the opposite, it's very positive.

Do you think the code will fail, the consensus model, or there are no uses cases? If you have concerns about this I would love to hear them. But if you are only afraid that the price can fall 90%, then who cares? Let it fall, there is too m

What’s more likely to happen is to have users fork off to a different PoW algorithm or even PoS, rendering the mining equipment of miners useless. If the economic majority of users run the new fork software, the network effects and value of

I don't think that Bitcoin or any other crypto asset needs to become the main currency of any country. They can live as tertiary assets with valuable properties, that can facilitate trade or act as collateral for certain contracts, wit

It's better to think of Bitcoin efficiency in terms of transaction throughput (value moved) instead of transactions per second. This tweet makes a comparison with Fedwire: https://twitter.com/nic__carter/status

I think a very important reason why people don't run their own USENET node or Gitlab instance is because it's not easy. In fact, it's the opposite of easy. It's extremely difficult in the long run. If using your own serv

That is one of the reasons I switched to Migadu. The other being cost, as I have several domains that receive very little mail, so the cost structure on Migadu is very attractive.

Very apt characterisation. It's sad that you got downvoted. I think Bitcoin has managed to stir such a division in people because it hits to the very core of human principles. This is wild speculation (pun intended) but I think that a
