When Google was first released it was revolutionary. I remember just being amazed at the quality of the search results compared to any other engines. And amazingly, the competitors still haven't caught up, for all of Google's is

This is a good way of explaining the old expression, "What matters is the journey, not the destination"

Could a colony of ants form its own self-awareness? Do we understand enough about consciousness/awareness to know what the difference is between an ant network and say, a network of neurons?

There's one possibility that explains it: that the probability of a genetic code evolving naturally is really, really, really low. Like, less likely to happen than once per universe. Then, once this barrier is attained, other forms of

This ties in well with the revelation many high school physics students have that a bullet fired from a gun parallel to the ground also falls to the earth at the same rate as any other object.

When I was a kid my favorite toy was the Crash Test Dummies. They had a whole set of cars, people, motorcycles and other vehicles that would fly apart when thrown against a wall and could be put back together. :)

I use my handheld exclusively on any non-turned based style games because the input lag on my television for action games is just too noticeable.

There's no such thing as international law. It's just a set of treaties. With no one to enforce it, it's not real law, so things like war crimes and the like are decided by the victors, there is no legitimate objective body.

Let's not forget The Realm, Sierra's entry into the exploding MMORPG genre at the time. Believe it or not, it's still alive and well, after having changed owners quite a few times. It hasn't changed much since the late 9
