I think the text of the linked summary refutes the consensus (at least from the reports of the Roundtable participants' show of hands). Jihan Wu (CEO of Ant Miner, Antpool, formerly #1 and currently #2 mining pool [1]) has been pretty

While that may be a valid point on some glasses-bridge-pushing technical level (certainly Linus has strong opinions on HFS), but so what? In practice, this hasn't been an issue (I spent about 15 years running OSX desktop workstations a

Yeah, I couldn't believe how bad it was, especially since Sydney has been fine for years. Apparently the root of this was their transit agency's longtime refusal to open up their data: http://m.smh.com.au/technolog

ThinkPad screens have been getting better. I'm actually pretty happy with contrast/brightness of the FHD IPS on my X250 (color gamut definitely could be better, but at least it doesn't do dynamic contrast like recent Dells),

Unity is a terrible solution for things like photo spheres and media tours: * you can't load it without a long unity splash screen without paying $3K for a pro license * it renders photospheres poorly - no dynamic eye buffer resolution

Well, since you asked, I was merely noting the ways in which digital delivery of news has more depth, breadth, relevancy, timeliness, and searchability, but yes, those factors don't matter to some people.

As a VR dev/enthusiast, I agree that the Gear VR is surprisingly not bad (I have an S6 Gear VR IE) - the fact that it's mobile makes it really easy to share, and it's a huge leap over the cardboard (most people can wear it wi
