Also my first choice for servers and have used it several times on desktop so Debian would also be my recommendation even for a desktop these days. Plus, if you're already familiar with how Debian works it should be a no brainer. None

You're not wrong in the sense that things get cached, mirrored, scraped, etc, and probably live forever inside Facebook's datacenters even when "removed", but there is still a valid case for not wanting the pictures post
