Did you read it or the linked The Atlantic article? CDC representatives site the 3.5x number over and over again as the justification. The number came from this study. A led to B led to C.

Calling out the CDC for using studies that will jeopardize the public's trust in them in a time when public trust in the CDC, assuming they are correctly using that trust to help thwart the global pandemic, is of critical importance is

Actually, if we "slow down the economy" it would likely adversely affect the lower income bracket blue collar workers and other wage earners who have to be at work in person, but no longer can. I suspect most HN-goers (on average

Yes, there is a lack of sympathy for a group who chooses this for themselves and their communities for no reason beyond their own ignorance and ego. Good riddance.

Big difference from what I can see with my 2 hours with remix vs my hundreds of hours with Next is that you can do it on a component by component basis instead of a page by page bases. Also, POSTing data is a whole different beast.

I think TWCSS' argument is that we always were bringing the styling into the structure. Show me a site that has CSS Zen garden style replaceable stylesheets that totally overhaul the nature of the site. It's incredibly rare and al

I like Chakra...mostly. We have ran into some major performance issues with it all over our application though. The docs [1] make it sound like it's a rare issue, but we're not doing anything particularly wild and it became unusab

Why does it need to be an NFT thought rather than some centralized ledger. It's the distributed, no trust nature of this that I don't get in video games. Games have a developer and publisher and (sadly) generally centralized serve

Scalping is just meeting an ineffeciency in supply and demand. I don't know why we feel the need to regulate one of the basic principles of a market. If you truly want to stop scalping, you should become more comfortable with dramatica

I understand the point you're trying to make. I would like to also point out that non-rich people in the US often just die. It's not like the non-rich US-based get the same care that the rich non-US-based fly here to get.
