At the risk of sounding Ad Hominem, "whatsupwiththat.com" is primarily a climate change denial website and scientific conspiracy theory blog. I'd take any claims with a grain of salt.

These aren't simply customer quibbles, Coinbase is literally causing customers to lose thousands of dollars of their own money. They clearly are an untrustworthy company, and people should be informed - especially when there are large

Is this really a common viewpoint in the developer community? I'm a programmer, and I do it because I find what I do to be exciting. I, in fact, truly enjoy "skimming 1,000 lines of log output" to finally find a bug I've

I know this is an unpopular opinion among the tech elite, but I absolutely consider the aesthetics of a device to be as important as what you're supposed to do with it. I'm glad that the electronics / software industry is mov

I'd think that most professional web developers are developing for a VPS where there is no "CPanel". As for me, all of my development is done either in Docker or Vagrant.

In science - especially health science - it is not the responsibility of the skeptic to prove that a particular theory is wrong, rather it is the responsibility of the person making such claims to substantiate them.

The discussion is around web design / development - a field with an extremely high number of people running OSX (I'd say that the majority run OSX, but I don't have any statistics to back that up, just observation).

This is very common, and there was a pretty lengthy discussion about interview anxiety on HN a few weeks ago. Had this person been tasked with writing a loop outside of an interview environment, they likely would have had no issues at all.

A therapeutic dosage of methamphetamine (Desoxyn) is about 5mg - 15mg, whereas a recreational dosage can be as high as several hundred milligrams. Though certainly toxic at higher doses, research hasn't shown that the drug is toxic at

I don't think that anecdotes, personal beliefs, or unqualified claims are the right way to approach something like this, especially if you don't have any personal or professional experience with the disorder. Any disorder or disea

Methamphetamine in fact IS prescribed by doctors to treat certain disorders. It's unfair to compare prescription methamphetamine to street meth since street meth is not only often very impure, but is typically taken in dosages 30x - 50

I'd recommend that you talk to a few people with ADHD and see if they consider their disorder to be "the slightest deviation from the norm". It's clear from this article that doctors certainly don't see it that way.

I'm glad someone else mentioned this. I have delayed sleep phase syndrome, which melatonin helps with, but the horrible, traumatizing nightmares make it unbearable and unusable.

While it's great that you experience no negatives from being a night owl, a personal anecdote like this cannot be considered alongside medical research. With any research, findings apply to the majority of the population studied - if,
