That's definitely nice for me the developer, but it doesn't really matter much for me the consumer. It's a pretty small handful of sites that haven't been wrangled to work in IE. Maybe we'll see more growth in CSS3, Canvas, etc, in use on s

It does help, but for me personally FF is pretty worthless without the addons. No firebug? No gestures? What's the difference between it and IE at that point?

Really? I'm using Chrome on Linux, and most of these points still seem to be present on my build. Maybe Ubuntu is serving me up a stale version of the dev build?

Ditto, the area our first house was located in generated about 40% of its tax revenue from Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart began talk of relocating to a neighboring city's tax district right around the time of the election. The incumbent mayor actually

This definitely doesn't mean VP8 is free and clear. It just means that On2 doesn't have any patents that they were actively enforcing on VP8. It's quite likely that any number of H.264 or other random patents apply just as well to VP8, espe

Having done some work for a local credit union, I can tell you that yes people do actually do a google search for their bank to get to their online banking. One item to consider is that a large portion of these people probably have google a

Agreed. What would make this app REALLY insteresting is if it tried to automatically analyze all of a users geotagging, guess a home/work location, and then alert when the user is over an hour or two away.

This is one of the other points I think is confusing. What exactly is being shared out of reader? I use reader, I've got it linked to my profile, but when I view my profile as an anonymous user it just says no shared items. I never used the

I think the biggest failure of Buzz is how confusing it is. I think this is one of the most misunderstood products that has ever been launched. I honestly believe about 90% of the complaints we've seen are misunderstandings of how Buzz work

Further, was Google Search a clone of Altavista? What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

And how much I personally use this will hinge fully on how well they do on making this as open as possible. If this has a solid API, and it's easy for an ecosystem of associated tools to grow around this, then I'll probably end up using it

they can buy H.264 and give it away for free (open source it), which is impossible without making themselves bankrupt. As the discussion around H.264/Theora etc has heated up I've started wondering about this. There are now at least 3 rat

Google's explanation of these issues is generally that they want to make sure all followed links are editorial votes of quality. I'd argue that this link counts as such with the owner basically saying "I use ad Lounge, it's great and you sh

I don't really see any way those links are different than the links pulled in by just about every advertising platform out there (including AdWords). The links appear to be being served up with Javascript (except for the "Ads by the Lounge"

Considering FF with Flash on Youtube can bring my well-powered linux desktop to it's knees, I'd be floored if any mobile device could handle it in an even remotely reasonable way.

I'd link the text "watch my screencasts" to your blog page. At first I thought you actually didn't have any screencasts done. I'd consider highlighting them more as well, maybe making them have a section like the demos and featured as promi

I've heard a lot of complaints that call quality with VoIP on Nexus One is awful -- tons of latency, lots of clipping -- it sounds like this isn't your experience? I've seriously considered trying out a data-only plan with T-Mobile, plus on
