Google Voice is about half a product in my opinion. Once they actually integrate VOIP calling on my mobile I'll agree.

Note that this doesn't mean GV on Android is using VOIP or anything along those lines. It simply dials one of the GV numbers for you and then connects you.

As a Westerner who has partaken in Hot pot, I will agree that the name is an excellent idea emphasizing the social side of food (Hot pot is a BIG cultural event where it's popular). However, I quit asking what I was eating after I was infor

Ignoring emotional issues, a proper pre-nup would basically let you treat a marriage as a simple way around those restrictions without large long-term ramifications if you decide to change course.

Maybe the alternate store has a better presentation of apps (I find App Brainz on Android easier to browse than the default marketplace app). Maybe I want to see an app store that's filtered out all the porn, maybe I want to see one that on

I can, in sci-fi sense, imagine a world where we wouldn't need to discipline children, but it would take some pretty fundamental changes in our understanding of parenting techniques and probably involve some technology that doesn't exist to

While I don't have any evidence I'm inclined to believed that Jeff just assumed that the copyright holder reviewed his claim. I'm fairly confident it's YouTube staff that would review the claim and decide if it's fair use or not.

In my practical experience at the grocery store, avoiding HFCS will at least accidentally lead you to a lower sugar diet. This is mostly due to the fact that at a typical grocery store you won't be able to find many of the more processed go

Interesting, I hadn't thought about it since, for my usage, setting up keys is pretty much always a one-off event (and pretty rare on top of that). What are the consequences of dropping your key into authorized_keys files multiple times? Tr

I haven't seen their code, but I'm not sure why you'd need server side DOM manipulation for this. I'd implement all of that in the browser, and just let the server handle passing events back and forth.

Podcasted lectures probably show an enormous selection bias, in that professors who don't care about teaching probably have no desire to make their lectures available to a wider audience. That aside I will concur that "professors don't like

That's a very interesting consequence of the GPL I hadn't considered before. I wonder where the law would draw the line in regards to modification. I mean, if I download OpenJDK, and delete 99% of it and then code something else, is it stil

I don't see how reverse engineering to not use an iframe would help. Presumably Facebook would have some type of check on the iframed like page that ensures that the request is actually coming from FB. How would an attacker recreate an ifra
