It's somewhere between a headache and physical discomfort. Hard to describe because I've only ever experienced it with active noise cancelling (over the ear) headphones and I gave those up 5+ years ago.

I once had a professor that would write on the blackboard with his right hand and erase with his left simultaneously. Quite a struggle to keep up with equations on those days he chose to fly through lectures like that!

Don't forget that Unreal has Blueprints. You could practically finish an entire game on blueprints alone! I recall that The Solus Project was almost entirely blueprint based.
