I was primarily saying that I find the DX of vue's reactivity to be more intuitive in the context of my application. I didn't intend to say there was something that was possible with vue which wasn't with svelte. Last I check

I disagree. But I am someone who deals with frontend tech sporadically as opposed to spending all/most of my time working on UI. I was excited about svelte, but have found that coming back to my svelte project after a month or two of n

Ah ok. However, typescript is mostly smart enough to propagate comments [1] from zod schema properties to inferred types on its own. Thanks for maintaining kanel btw. We used to use this in a previous role alongside knex. It was very useful

No. Imagine a Zod schema like: const UserLocation = z.object({ address: Address, coords: Coords }) where Address, Coords are other zod schemas. Now if I infer a type like: type IUserLocation = z.infer<typeof UserLocation> Th inferred

Kotlin's type system works great for interop with a nominally typed lang like java but for interop with a dynamically typed lang like js and myriad of its libs not designed with type safety in mind, structural typing is far more conven

I love zod and use it daily. It is also the most frequent thing where junior developers get stuck. TS tooling doesn't make it very easy to work with large extracted types though it is head and shoulders above other mainstream languages

Deepkit (listed in the article) is a fascinating project and really deserves to be more popular. It also demonstrates that what is being asked for is actually practical. https://deepkit.io/

Last I checked this did not provide an obvious way for links between notes. This is a crutial feature for many folks who work with lots of small interlinked notes.

I love joplin - it has been my goto solution for adhoc notes for almost two years now. I use it on multiple devices and they all sync to an S3 bucket which is very cheap setup that works well once configured properly. I don't love the

I like pgtyped - when the queries are mostly static it is a great solution. Solutions like ts-sql-query are better when you need to dynamically generate complex sql. With ts-sql-query it is very easy to create sql select statements where mu

We moved away from zapatos because the generated types are good only when selecting from single table. The moment we start selecting some subset of columns from a join of multiple tables, it is upto the developer to provide the right combin

The lack of node support is not necessarily a problem though. We can write an "extension" in any language (including js/node) which can communicate with the app over websockets. https://neutralino.js.org/docs&

I started using zapatos in a project but eventually moved away from it. Their shortcuts and lateral join support is nice, but you very often need to write raw sql and manually provide types and ensure they are correct for all these cases. I

You should take a look at ts-sql-query [1] - it is not as popular as the older alternatives that have been around for a while, but it is a very feature rich query builder that takes type safety very seriously and supports most mainstream da
