Most moderators overwhelmingly rely on the utility function you get in 3rd party apps that isn't currently in the official app, so I genuinely believe this is one aspect of the protest. I could be wrong, but I genuinely can't see

Really disappointing to see them try and throw Apollo under the bus by literally just making things up. Their reply to mods reads as insincere, with tonnes of promises about stuff they’ll build to make moderation easier, without addressing

Anecdotally I like them, and not just because it's Apple, seems like great hardware/software/industrial design etc. But valid to be annoyed at it, Apple do tend to be quite polarising for people.

As a resident of Ramsgate, definitely feel lucky to be a few streets down from both TMINO + Micro Museum and very cool to see a shout out here! Well worth doing both in a day as they're next to each other.

If Apple do implement this, I hope they can ensure 3rd party apps live in a sandbox or otherwise need to be given explicit permissions. One big argument I've seen against side-loading on iOS is people like the confidence of knowing tha

I'd say to be good with Tailwindcss you actually need a pretty comprehensive understanding of CSS already! Originally I'd written it off as "CSS for backend developers who hate writing frontend code" and I was a diehard

Great example of how important good copywriting is. Judging by the comments in this thread, this is a great example (in my personal opinion) on how copy can lead people to perceive a brand as untrustworthy.

I wonder what ramifications Elon's unprofessional and aggressive management style will have on start-up culture in the long run. My instincts are that for many he'll become a sort of anti-role model, but for other's he'l

Senior front-end engineer here! I hated, HATED Tailwind for ages. It made me super angry that it was glossing over everything that makes CSS great. The ability to write great, maintainable styles seemed lost. But after a couple of projects

One of my first experiences with VR was at Disneyquest in Florida in the late 90s/early 00s. It was absolutely wild. Some images/info here: https://www.roadtovr.com/end-of-an-era-disneyquest-first-vr-...

It definitely looks like bootstrap in syntax. A lot of "css superfans" actually really enjoy tailwind in use. It solves more problems than it causes for some people.

The remix team own the name, and npm package distribution rights. The money is used to fund development. I think you've got some good points here around the weirdness that happens when someone builds a business around something that is

Beautiful design language, great functionality and thoughtful SKUs. Good luck with the launch/release. As someone who designs keyboards, I think the design space outside of the "core hobbyist" market is super interesting. Thi

Sorry, my phrasing was bad. I don't care what other's are enthusiastic about. You're right, old keyboards/computers are literally just junk that was once useful technology. It's up to every person to decide how exci

On this point, being stripped down for parts, being lovingly cleaned/restored by an enthusiast and then used/appreciated is probably a better fate for the keyboard than forever living in landfill or in a box in someones attic.

I absolutely agree. In my eyes, any true enthusiast should respect preserving the computer as much as the associated keyboard. I've not personally witnessed a keyboard hobbyist throw away a matching computer but keep the keyboard, but

Semi-related, I know of several people in the mechanical keyboard community who are constantly hunting for keyboards from the 70s, 80s, 90s. In some cases the switches alone can be worth $10-20+ each to dedicated collectors, not to mention

Beautiful design especially the subtle Guilloche, but I personally have doubts this solves a real problem and in fact it seems to go totally against the culture of crypto. As a short-run art piece, it makes sense, but I can't see this

I think this page is poorly phrased given the sheer number of cryto-skeptics in the developer community. I also feel that the page more generally fails to show the benefits of tea over brew, and has a general entitled tone. I can totally un

Might be a stupid comment, but United States being first in the dropdown seems like quite a US-centric decision when the site features news sites from around the world. May be better to stick to alphabetical to make it more country agnostic
