I agree with the overall sentiment expressed in Thiel's monopoly theory. However, it seems like the whole problem is defining the market in the first place. We can define search, ecommerce and payments as part of larger markets and

slight nitpick: i agree with you (i.e i dont think people should be complaining about the markup) but this issue is not that obvious when the "users" are the "programmers" complaining....

This is exactly right. I strongly disagree any sentiment that's basically equivalent to "they had it easier back then". There are always fields which are too deep for the newbie to penetrate...that's why the newbie eithe

Just based off this google search: http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&q=rigetti&btnG=&as_s... I'm going to guess it's Josephson Junction based. Possibly similar to D-Wave in that it's based o

thanks for the response. Are your systems superconducting/atomic/spintronic etc? Are they an instance of adiabatic computing? Curious about these sorts of details.

For me i find that readability is a good reason to declare functions as vars inside a function. It's much easier to follow (pseudo) code that says function handleCustomers = init some variables, var processCustomer = some function defi

This is my feeling as well. I'd add the caveat that design shouldn't be interpreted merely as "front end work" or "ui". You also have to design your algorithms, data models/structures, features, and an opt
