I'm not an encryption guy, so I'm probably totally off base, but how does this work in terms of decryption? When you 'friend' someone, are you sharing your decryption key with that person? That seems very vulnerable to m

Many of our current encryption algorithms can be broken by sufficiently powerful quantum computers [1]. We're still a while off from usable quantum computers, but they are coming, eventually. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org

Thanks for the reply! I'll take a look at it soon, I'll definitely grab these again. I think the version I used was from July, so it's definitely outdated.

I'm using these for my smart mirror project, and tied them by index to the Yahoo Weather API.[1][2] There isn't a perfect one-to-one relationship between the API codes and the icons, but it's pretty close. My one complaint ab

That's funny, I've actually been doing the exact same thing, RPi2 and a Hover. I have a few blog posts about it here which I was going to post after the project is finished.[1] I actually just bought all the wood to build the fram

It's probably used to weed out targets such as the blog author, who know it's a scam already, rather than connecting them to a real person and wasting the attacker's time.

In case you haven't seen it, here's a similar article on making a tiny ELF executable. [1] [1] http://www.muppetlabs.com/~breadbox/software/tiny/teensy.htm...

I don't even mind the multiple restarts, the part that bothers me is that I have to babysit Windows Update as soon as my machine finishes restarting, tell it to get updates, tell it to install now, and then have it restart again. If Wi

This[1] paper from Google also covers how SMART stats relate to drive failures. This line from the conclusion kind of wraps things up: > We find, for example, that after their first scan error, drives are 39 times more likely to fail wit

Given the recent abundance of jQuery alternatives, that's a big assumption to make. It's always disappointing when I find some code I want to use and it has a bunch of dependencies that make it not an option.

Sweet alert is definitely bloated, but Wow Alert also depends on jQuery which is +80KB, so saying it's only 5KB is a bit deceptive.

I got the N56VZ a while back and I found it using the same method. If you don't use the blu-ray drive (and who does, really?) it's pretty trivial to swap it out with a new drive caddy. I put the HDD in there because I heard people
