They have an obligation to code websites using modern and open standards. That's part of being a good internet citizen. Other companies have broken that responsibility (silver light) and we were correctly critical of them then.

I think it's a step in the wrong direction. The authority of approving drug use is moving from private citizens (doctors) to the government. A step in the right direction would be making more drugs otc.
