Do they need to MITM? If they have a copy of the private key, can't they just use it to decrypt the data .. even old data for which they've only just acquired the key?

Funny thing is that it's a promo for their own Kickstarter project (Kickstarted the movie). Based on the video revealing the fraud, there's no way I'll fund the movie. (Not that I've ever funded anything anyway)

As a non-US citizen or resident this is a great concern to me (and I feel it should be to you too). The NSA is not allowed to spy on Americans. ASIO is not allowed to spy on Australians. But what if the NSA gave the PRISM tech and data feed

I like the idea of sites implementing humans.txt to go with robots.txt. Doesn't need to be linked anywhere, but it's a place for crediting the people behind the site (or company, or product .. or anything). robots.txt is for reading by robo

In other news, the material used to cover seats in a BMW has the highest¹ thread-count of all luxury car models. ____ 1. Totally made this up. The point being that nobody chooses a car based on the thread-count of the material in the seats.

I have no doubt the study is legit and nothing is 'fudged' beyond their own presentation of the graphs and other things their marketing department have done to promote the study. The obvious truth is that Microsoft will only commission a st

Not to mention that the sites have no relationship to each other, so a line graph like this is pointless. Here's the graph corrected for both zero-baseline and using a column graph: http://i.imgur.com/24UrJpB.png

As a hirer, I don't want a job board. Everything on a job board goes stale really really quickly - from both sides of the coin. A weekly thread is probably too fast a turn around. TL;DR: I'm happy with the status quo.

My "Social Graph" between Facebook and LinkedIn is approximately 2. One is for social networking, the other for professional. So if they think there's any good to come from comparing the two, there's going to be a lot of people like me for

And we used rocks as weapons before we used them for building. (Ignoring naturally forming caves). We know media technology is led by the porn industry. Maybe physical technology is led by the weapons industry.

Similarly I'm 8 for 10 and have been working for nearly 20 years. So I get a score of 80. If I had an 80% success rate, but was 18 for 20 I'd score 117. To get that, I'd need to be changing jobs every single year. The score is not only tota

Another vote for space-to-drag. Though, I guess us photoshoppers probably will continue to use photoshop for this sort of thing so our muscle-memory shortcuts might not be so important :-D

Endorsements should use a web-of-trust. Some people (undefined process) are given an endorsed skill (eg. Python). They can now endorse anyone in their network for python . But they cannot endorse anyone who claims a skill in 'goat herding'

Why not make the contact form look a bit more like an email and put the recipient address at the top as a mailto link. That way people who like forms click and get a form, those of us who like mailto can then click on the email address.
