I will try this out! Currently the gold standard for this kind of FI simulation is OnTrajectory. There’s a learning curve but it’s so much more comprehensive than any spreadsheet you could build. I consult it every time I make a big decisio

Totally agree. I had to bail on it years ago because of how nervous I would get every time I built a new campaign. Every button-press you're walking on egg shells.

So many "trend" type presentations like this one take for granted that streaming will eat TV. Sure, cord-cutting is a trend. But Covid-19 isn't necessarily accelerating it. A huge contingent of the population, especially inte

Mischief has saved my mental health. Think of some creative things that WFH uniquely enables and do them. Here are examples of things I've done: 1. Planned a 1-hour prank on a coworker over Zoom 2. Left work early to play golf all afte

Part of the point of the Montessori method is that there aren't instructions. If you played with these items for hours (like a child) you would start to understand the fundamentals of addition, multiplication and even calculus without

During transcription, Siri frequently thinks that "exclamation point" -- the common punctuation -- is me trying to add the phrase "excavation point," a phrase nobody ever says.

Netflix has reshaped the whole industry for the better. Netflix by itself at $13 per month is nearly as much content as you'd get in a small cable package in the "old days of TV." Of course, in the future, if you actually tri

In order to pack coffee into air-tight pods like Nespresso does, the coffee must first completely degas and become stale. What fine restaurant would serve a stale dish? Regardless of consistency, taste, automation, etc?

OP here. Thanks for the analogy! To answer your PS: 1) rapidly playtesting over email and remotely with folks I'd never met 2) finding a supplier who could do the whole game quickly in the US -- though I had to pay a premium for that a

Ha! Great point. One perspective might be that you'll get more bang out of your Kickstarter if you show the backers that you've done some work first. I'm more likely to contribute when I see prototypes than vague ideas.
