So upset that I missed this kickstarter. I've been obsessively refreshing the homepage to see if I can buy a micropython board yet.

I think it makes sense to take the time to get it right. Every version of HTTP will effectively have to be supported by just about every server and client forever or otherwise the web will break. An incredible aspect of the web is that Tim

I don't live in America and haven't seen a Tesla charging station, so maybe some of these obvious ideas are already happening, but: * You'll have at least 20 minutes of waiting for your car to charge, during which time Tesla

I don't know how useful this would be for "normal" photography, because choosing the composition, focus, etc is the fun part of the creative process. But I think it can be awesome for macro photography or anything where you&#

My takeaway regarding easy meaning “near” was closer to “you already know easy” as opposed to having to still learn it. So easy is more like familiar. Like a programming language, library, framework or style you already know vs one you have

Really? Have you ever sat through the experience of waiting for the primary source to time out so that the fallback can kick in?

I see this daily, but then I don't have a sub-20ms ping time and a cable modem where I live. The CDN doesn't have to go down. The user's connection doesn't even have to go down. Things just have to get momentarily flaky

The common case is that the user doesn't have the file yet and then has to do another dns lookup (for the cdn) and establish another http connection (to the cdn). There are so many public cdns now and so many versions of libraries scat

The problem I have with this is the same I have with all public js CDNs: Your project doesn't just use public js files. You are almost guaranteed to also have custom javascript (which could itself be opensource or not. irrelevant), css

Yeah chances are you're already running a static webserver of some kind anyway. Typically at least apache or nginx proxying things to your app.

Hold on. I'm not talking in a "Angular vs jQuery" way. I meant "Angular vs something like Backbone that just happens to use jQuery". I wouldn't build a large app straight on top of jQuery ;)

Actually I'm not 100% sure it that it doesn't require toString magic at all, but it would at least require less and probably be more reliable.

Shouldn't that just be the only and correct way, then? No need for .toString() magic..

I agree with you except the "level up" word choice. That implies that it is necessarily better, whereas I still think that's up for debate. I think we've all been burnt by "magic" code before. A good "smel
