I feel like I was able to learn those things on the job as needed. I'm sure my MS program gave me some knowledge that helped, but I don't personally think the ROI was there. I also had an EE background.

Don't you think it's bad design to only allow one request per function? We shouldn't have to migrate to different cloud services to be able to unlock a common pattern. Optimizing the function to allow handling multiple reques

I completed an MS in software engineering while I was working. I ultimately consider it to have been a waste of time and money. I think it gave my resume a slight boost early in my career but I don't think it matters much now.

I understand why this is technically right, but I don't like it. The promise of Cloud Functions is to give them code and they run it. They should be optimizing how it's run and you shouldn't have to do anything different to o

I help companies with their technical recruiting. They're always trying to get more candidates in to interview. However, they're not looking to source candidates externally. They simply want help digging through all the candidates

I completely disagree on not listening to your brain. Your brain has an emotional side, some call it your inner child, that is the raw unfiltered you. You inner child might be screaming out for help because he doesn't feel safe and nee

My day job company pays upwards of $1000/hr to short-term contract leadership people. I guess it's really more consulting than contracting but the lines seem pretty blurry based on what I've seen. Based on what I've seen

Yeah. By "half-assing" it I mean putting an appropriate amount of myself into it. It'll feel like half-assing it but I'll likely still be doing my job very well.
