If AGI is built from LLMs, how could we trust it? It's going to "hallucinate", so I'm not sure that this AGI future people are clamoring for is going to really be all that good if it is built on LLMs.

Oh, they burned a lot more than $200, you just paid only $200. These things are costing way more than what people pay for them, the price heavily subsidized.

In my experience it depends on which way the wind is blowing, random chance, and a lot of luck. For example, I was working on the same kind of change across a few dozen files. The prompt input didn't change, the work didn't change

That's a nonsense reply, and kind of an ad hominem attack. The claim was: > "It will make your project 1000x more difficult to maintain and extend in the short term for no significant gain." Nowhere was "launching&qu

I once worked at a startup where I was employee #1 doing full-stack. The CTO who hired me and 5 other developers wanted 100% test coverage from the start, and none of the details about his demands were discussed ahead of time. The rest of t

I'm just surprised that people pay to be lied to constantly by LLMs. I guess the politicians have normalized lying, so as long as the LLM says what you want it to, why not pay for that.

As a developer, I don't care what Apple or Google's "design language" whims are today. If someone can't figure out how to use a well designed app, no matter the "design language", a fancy skin isn't g

A lot has been written about LLMs having reached a plateau with regards to improvements. They still all produce garbage way too often. LLMs have fundamental limitations that can't really be fixed. Garbage in / garbage out also app

It seems to be something like brute forcing. Throw even more words at the LLM until something useful pops out.

Sometimes in Las Vegas I will put money into a whole row of slot machines, and pull the levers all at the same time. It's not that much different than "parallel coding agent lifestyle".

I learned assembly language long before I learned C, so pointers took me about 2 seconds to understand. I suppose it may depend on previous experience.

"AI" has been so inconsistent. On one day it anticipates almost every line I am coding, the next day it's like we've never worked together before.

"Arduino" is more a framework than it is a specific piece of hardware. You can run "Arduino" the framework on an ESP32. Not that I would, I don't recommend it as ESP-IDF is way better, but you can run "Arduino&
