So, I'm running Ubuntu 10.10 - but I use awesome-wm instead of gnome. Is it worth to upgrade to 11? After reading the comments here it seems like the big thing about 11.04 was the new gnome shell.

Way to alienate customers, Dropbox. I gonna cancel our teams account and refrain from using dropbox alltogether.

Ehm, I don't see a "breakthrough". You can add any control/view to a UITableViewCell. Or am I missing something?

So what? Even if God himself would promise 100% uptime I'd better have 2 or 3 fallbacks for such a service.

Yes, Go lets me do this. Though I don't like passing anonymous functions too much as the codes becomes hard to read rather soon.

I'm paying $22/month (medium plan) and have no private repos left. The next plan would be business gold for $100/month with 50 private repos. Which is a little over the top for me. I guess I'll have to opensource more stuff to make room for

well, it's trivial after reading ssh's man page. though the execution is nice and everything is packaged that relatively tech un-savvy users can make use of it.

I never liked the WWW. xxx.domain.tld should be a host name and not a service determinator. my http blog is accessible on domain.tld:80 and my telnet comment interface runs on domain.tld:1337 :) if you're curious about the telnet interface:

I'm an iOS developer and there is one reason why I don't develop for Android: Java. If Google would officially support Go as a development language for the system it would be awesome. I'd support Android without hesitation then. But Java? N

I'd prefer no visible "karma" at all. Karma should define a comment's placing in the thread/a posts' placing on the main page - nothing more. No user karma. Also no user nicknames - if we had a truly anonymous discussion culture there would

As my learning Go project I created a blog with a telnet interface instead of http. (I guess I overdid channels a little bit.) I used mongo db for data storage and it's really nice how you can just pass over go structs to the driver (gomong
