India's share of world GDP fell from ~24% in 1700 to ~4% in 1950. There was an explicit de-industrialization of India - colonial Britain destroyed the textile industry deliberately. Keep them poor and stupid was an explicit state pol

I think Rust compiler team should just build a Rust interpreter for iterative, development mode. The compiler can only be sped up so far.

Technically, ICE were carrying out arrests for cartel activity and money laundering by illegals as Tom Homan pointed out. They were executing criminal warrants. Then they were attacked. LAPD never came to help them.

Are you seriously asking this in good faith ? There are dozens of cases of people who were arrested. Please do your own research. It will barely take you ~10 mins. East Harlem - poor district - no health officials only harsh police enforcem

Marines have been sent several times to combat mass rioting and violence in the United States under several Presidents. Was done in LA earlier as well.

When they were busy arresting people for not wearing masks, kids not wearing marks and not social distancing while Fauci's family was gallivanting around without masks and attending public functions...yes it was a big problem, lol. Mos

Well, illegals are busy throwing rocks, explosives and burning cars of federal agents. The LA police chief himself has said that the rioting and violence has gotten out of control. That the violence he has seen has been disgusting. That eve

I believe it is under Title 10 to “temporarily protect ICE and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions.” Title 10 provides for activating National Guard troops for federal service. Seems valid since lar

Asking from ignorance: Can newer languages like Lean do the job of model checkers like TLA+? There are so many formal model checkers/languages that it is difficult to know which one is the "best".

Ok, but sorry, what is so special about Javascript here ? Did this for good old Java services a few hundred times. With hot-fix on same or next day. Remote debugging is supported for a large number of languages. It is not unique to JS alone

This is already caught by multi-repo tooling like Github today. If you vendor in an outdated version with security vulnerabilities, issues are automatically raised on your repo. Team B doesn't need to do anything. It is Team-A's

Not sure if I get it. If you are using a product like Github Enterprise, you are already quite aware of what other people are doing. You have a lot of visibility, source-code search, etc. If you have a CICD that auto-creates issues you alre

Go back 10 years and tell people that MS periodically takes screenshots of your apps and sends them to MS and there would be heavy lawsuits. AI has made people idiots in more ways than expected.

Hard agree - TSC already has this information, why should so many libraries in the world duplicate it ? A single source of truth works better than everyone repeating the same in different, finicky runtime validation libraries.
