I like the article's theme. Coding in Rust does indeed suck brain-power and even after 2 years of off-and-on attempts, I am still faster (and less tired) in other languages (including C++). But the LLM generated text is just deeply pi

Just because the US has consolidated many ISP's doesn't mean the rest of the world has. Also, even in the US, that figure is just under 2k. Globally, it is >16k.

That cookie banner needs to be standardized and offered by the browser. It should be like a certificate popup. Why is every website forced into doing a shoddy job ?

You do realize that neither do browser apps require having a network card on your laptop, right ? You can run local browser apps (HTML + CSS + JS) on a computer with no network card.

Need to have standardized native web components for the "culture of quality". Everyone building their own special widget in JS+CSS+virtual DOM Framework does not enforce UX quality.

Linting is not good enough. The compiler should refuse to compile the code without it marked with an explicit annotation. Too much Rust code is panic happy since using casual use of `unwrap` is perma-etched into everyone's minds by th

Checked exceptions in theory were good, but Java simply did not add facilities to handle or support them well in many APIs. Even the new API's in Java - Streams, etc do not support checked exceptions.

What about memory allocation - how will you stop that from panicking ? `Vec::resize` will always panic in Rust. And this is just one example out of thousands in the Rust stdlib. Unless the language addresses no-panic in its governing design
