The standard is Unicode. The ant is U+1F41C. I have mixed feelings about emojis in the Unicode standard. Apparently this is a Unicode character 'PISTOL': https://emojipedia.org/pistol/

The most worrisome on that page is the arbitrary package attack, and on my Debian installation it's not feasible. The insecure apt.conf settings are not enabled on Debian by default. Saying that the package signing of apt is absolutely

Allowing adjacent codes and accepting the same code twice is not the same. I would be surprised if TOTP allowed for accepting the same code twice.

Well, they don't throttle torrent in any noticeable way (torrenting with 10-20 MB/s or even more is not uncommon). And torrenting is pretty active in Hungary. They also provide ipv6 addresses too, I really can't say anything

What if you just throw away the TOTP secret right after you get it and verify it on Github? You don't have to use your phone either. Just because you used TOTP to set up u2f on Github doesn't mean you have to store the TOTP secret

And by not everyone you can very well mean Youtube itself. I'm in Hungary, sometimes I watch gameplay videos that are only enjoyable in at least 720p and Youtube can't keep up with the bandwidth. I have a 1 gbit connection. And Yo

The least to say. SVG support is abysmal in many browsers. PDF support in browsers seems to be much more complete, even though it's much more complex.

I think cppreference.com is very well made. It has both the C++ and C standards in a very accessible form.

Your raytraced shadow maps have a bit of a "glossy" feel, it suggests that you don't use linear colorspace for rendering these. I think colormagick also needs additional options to handle multiplication in linear colorspace.

OK, so tldr: If you can't define a partial ordering between events (ie. "earlier than" as in A can cause B, "later than" as in A can be caused by B, "same time" as in there can be no causal relationship b

Well, not written in assembly but uses x86 intrinsics: https://github.com/leni536/fast_hilbert_curve I'm pretty proud of it. It calculates the coordinates of the nth point on the hilbert curve. No loops, no branch

I fail to see why integrity checking is the file format's responsibility. Is this historical? Like when you just dd a tar file directly onto a tape and there is no filesystem? Anyway seems like it should be handled by the filesystem an

Their method change too much on eyes and facial expressions in general. Also that broad sword is really blunt. When comparing only the 4x results hq4x wins half the time. On the other half hq4x is a close second and generally looks alright.

There have been proposals to use IEEE 802.11u for access points to signal that they allow EAP-TLS using only server-side authentication. [1] It's more of an implementation and UI problem. The required standards already exist, no need

Yeah, also it's not about new computers. It's a huge portion of all existing computers. Even my 10 years old Core 2 Duo laptop will get slower after I update it (I'm not too happy about it).

More precisely the electromagnetic waves on the waveguides of the motherboard (bus) move around 2/3 as fast as electromagnetic waves in vacuum. Not as fundamentally separated as one would imagine.
