I'm not sure about the US, but in the UK GCHQ has this sort of activity explicitly as one of its three principal mandates - it's something along the lines of "protect the economic interests of the UK". You can imagine th

What's interesting with these declarations (and I'm surprised they don't even get a mention in the media) is that they specifically say that these rights cannot be denied based on "national or social origin". So it&

And that's the rub for them, right? They've totally lost all credibility when they say "Trust us, we're reasonable" or "Actually, we're not doing that". We can only make decisions or form opinions whe

All we know at this point is that the U.S. isn't doing it now... Actually, we don't know that - we only know they said they're not. Given that Clapper flat out lied about surveillance at the start of all this that isn'

I have yet to pass the willing-to-pay barrier, but my experience launching Cursive has really echoed his first two points. Developers really appreciate attention to detail in a product and my experience working with the beta testers has bee

I added some instructions for debugging REPL sessions to http://cursiveclojure.com/quickstart.html - it's clunky right now but I'll be fixing that soon.

Yes, that's already about 80% there. There are some of the paredit commands missing but it's very usable right now. The most obvious omissions are open-round-and-newline, wrap-round and kill-word. Most other commands are there, an

CLJ-183, CLJ-186, and CLJ-77 are fixed. I'll check CLJ-165. CLJ-129 is coming very soon. ClojureScript support is definitely on the list but will take a while - we do recognise .cljs files, at least.

You should be able to run any script in Debug mode (Run->Debug instead of Run->Run) and you can also debug your REPL session, although this is very clunky right now. I'll get some documentation up and provide a link here.

Absolutely - it's a common misconception that IDEs only generate code for blub programmers. Most IDE functionality, particularly things like refactorings, are not at all language specific and are just as useful in Clojure as in Java. T

For a couple of reasons. One is that there's already a great Clojure environment for Eclipse - Counterclockwise. Secondly, I think that IntelliJ provides a better platform for building something like this - it's just a better IDE

There's still some lein functionality I need to add. Currently the best way to add a non-standard task like lein midje is to create a run config (Run->Edit Configurations..., hit + and select Leiningen). I'm going to be improvi

Right, this is one of the great things about the IntelliJ platform products - the IDE actually parses the program and creates an AST. This allows support for all the magic like refactorings and so forth, including rename. Basically I implem

If you're interested in whether the Cursive functionality can be integrated into Vim, the answer is no - it relies on a lot of the functionality of the IntelliJ platform. As AndreasFrom mentioned, the IdeaVim bindings are meant to be r
