I would argue 1/0 is infinity. Not with mathematics, just logically. By using the wording "how many times does 0 go into 1?" You bring up 0/0. But 0/<anything> is already defined, it's 0. So 0/in

If you look at the top of HN there's a "show" link. It's a thing people do here to show off something they have been working on. Not completely necessary, and I don't think you should resubmit -- you already hit t

If this isn't open source, I'd have labeled this as a SHOW HN. Also, I'd add that to the FAQ :)

It wasn't meant as an attack. I don't know his name, but his channel is called engineer-something, so I meant it as "engineer-something". Although I do think, for a learning video, that he missed out on a lot of opportu

I thought the form fields were suspicious. The scammer may already have something in place that generates random user/pass form fields, and even random endpoints by the look of the url. The "engineer" didn't check this,

Curious, did you CC Spectrum on your letters, or did they find out after being contacted by your AG/Senator?

Each of the stories listed are suspicious. They feel like the crop circle hoax to me -- something they planned well to get attention. Are there any provable cases?

Nine times out of ten the issues are being exaggerated and can simply be ignored. That's not what the engineers want to hear of course. They are eager to fix things, to stop their daily grind. It's very rare to actually get stuc

I moved to CA not for work, but family. There was nothing to do in my home state in the south, and I lived in the capital. In CA I have endless opportunities, events, family activities, and access to a huge variety of landscapes. Having b

Every time my wife's parents travel to the US we get them insurance. Their most recent visit was the first time we actually needed to use it, and it was just minor. After they arrived they both quickly got sick, not flu type symptoms

I was an engineer #1 hired by a "CTO" and we grew to 50 engineers. His story/growth didn't really change much, however. He was a coding machine, a true "10x engineer", and programmed day and night. He even s

I'm with you. I started with C some ~20 years ago, and you learn very early on about null terminating strings. You are constantly thinking about it for every manipulation you do. This article isn't exactly ground breaking news.
