Here's how it should work, IMO: (1) An upvote signals a positive sentiment (2) A downvote signals a negative sentiment (3) A subject's "newsworthiness" is measured by the sum of upvotes and downvotes (i.e. 5 upvotes and

Also, a couple other things... (1) You might be better off writing a small python script for this. That is one heck of a query you wrote. I used to have a job where I regularly wrote queries like this, and they took up to an hour to run som

I think this type of analysis would be more telling if "phrases" were looked at instead of words. I.e. 2-word and 3-word combinations.

What is the point of having a human "database operator" who carries out simple tasks like deleting an index when it shows up in a work request log? Is this how most companies structure their dev teams? If you have a human there to

I disagree with that sentiment. I think the best startups solve really large, difficult problems that affect the world around them .

You need to get with reality. Look at the fricking photo of what the kid brought. It's inside a small case, with exposed wires, and a digital display. You're really naive if you don't think that's going to raise any eyeb

It's a bad idea because pretty much ANYONE with a little common sense could have predicted that there would be a realistic probability of a BAD outcome by bringing that to school. Even if it's just a little homemade clock project.
