As far as I know, docker for mac isn't actually usable for dev work if you use mounted volumes. Basically it pegs CPU and makes disk access 10-150 times slower than native which makes mounted volumes impossibly slow. A personal example

Got to agree with you. The only thing the CoreCLR might be quicker at is starting up, and maybe a little better memory usage though I don't have any numbers and this is just a feeling from using both. Anyone know for sure on this?

Here'a couple for starters. 1. They don't work well in multiple browser tabs. Specifically if you're storing a lot of data in memory it gets duplicated between tabs. Perhaps shared workers might be a solution in the future, b

Here's a couple significant disadvantages to the jvm. A simple jvm clojure app running jetting deployed as an uberjar takes about 12 seconds to start on a 1GB digital ocean vm. Using jvm clojure as with aws lambda, it takes ~20 seconds
