I also get this on Chrome Dev (windows). It fixes itself if I resize the browser to get the mobile layout and then size it back to normal.

One thing BufferBox does that this wouldn't cover is that they sign for your package if required.

No, the first few bundles gave away keys for any price. They changed it during a bundle where this was a big problem with a contest that Steam was holding at the same time.

They did that to work around a problem where people were paying $.01 just to get a steam key. Adding a game to a steam account "validates it" and this can be abused in certain scenarios. For example, steam sometimes has events where you can

Maybe they should have dropped "Humble" from the name and replaced it with "Save"

I have the feeling it's a last ditch effort from THQ to gain some goodwill. They are doing pretty bad financially and they probably hope this might help them going forward.

I agree that it's not really in the 'spirit' of the humble bundle in that regard. As a Windows and Steam user, however, I bought it instantly. It's an amazing deal.

I think he meant he gave up on Opera and went to use Firefox.

It is not used on the US site which does not feature the statement. If it did I might agree with you, but in the current state of affairs it looks really fishy.

Looks great! I don't use Python, but I do use Visual Studio every day and this looks like a really complete implementation. Did you find that Visual Studio easy to integrate with, or did you have to fight it to do what you wanted?

If it does I'll be sure to buy it for my Nexus 7. Very nice way to get an idea of how well Windows 8 works on tablets! However it seems the android app is still at version 4.0, so I guess we have to wait for an update.

In addition to the questionable morals of such a system, I think it is technically flawed. Most captchas work because the words they present to users are mostly random assortments of letters. This one, however, presents real dictionary word

Ignore the article ? It's just tips on how to use Win8 effectively, meant to help you get started with it. If you don't plan on using Win8, okay, you can ignore it. Besides, of course he's not gonna bash the product, but Scott usually won't

You can also set it to upload your photos when you plug-in your device. The dropbox client accesses the files on the device as if it was a camera.

Regarding starting from the highest zoom level, I believe it's the other way around. If, for example, at z2 a tile is all water, then it is also all water at all higher zoom levels, which can then be skipped.

I like this a lot. Would be amazing if integrated in a service like readability or other.

That is very interesting, thank you. I hope the Link header gets wider support in the future. It seems that it could be very useful. One idea is injecting some temporary content in all pages of a site without changing the actual content. Fo

Nice site. However you seem to be using CSS as it's intended: styling content. The featured article uses CSS to generate the entire content, which I doubt is of any use besides showing off.

While it's certainly a neat trick, I wonder if there is any real world application to such techniques. When I saw the title I expected to see something about using CSS for things other than styling HTML. It may be useful, for example, to us

It's basically a 6 hours long blood donation. Hardly what most people think as surgery. I agree you can't force them to go through with it, but the effort needed versus the outcome if successful are not even comparable.
