I'm really curious why there haven't been hardware improvements that focus on evaluating combinatory logic. It seems like a great idea, especially since parallelization is a lot easier.

This is a really cool project, but I can't help thinking that the LED strips should have been placed closer toward the end of the shelf so that it illuminates the spines of the books instead of their tops.

I hear your point. we can be happy without many of these things. Happiness doesn't depend strictly on material conditions. At the same time, consider infant mortality. people are happy their children can grow up safely.

I agree this can be annoying when you have really large windows, but personally I don't mind it. I don't think it's hard to resize a window, and I _have_ been frustrated when sites (like the new Reddit) force a narrow window

For me, vim bindings makes editing and navigating text a breeze, and completely keyboard controlled. I still rely on my IDE for its well integrated debugger, refactoring capabilities, ctrl-click, etc. While it may be possible to set this up
