Thanks this is the perspective I was looking for. Like how television was imagined to bring Shakespeare to the masses, but instead met the masses where they are. And how people in the losing party lament the ignorance of the voters when it

It is true there are some downsides to home ownership. But if owning a home is such a horrible investment then why are so many buying up single family homes to turn into rentals? Personally our home has doubled in value over the past ten ye

They do it because if they don’t the Army will get it, and a fixed wing aircraft budget which will come out of the Air Force purse. AF sees it as a distraction from what they want to be doing; air dominance.

It’s unfortunate neither the Navy nor the Air Force want anything to do with the close air support role. The Marines are the smallest arm of the US military but they “do it all”, except tanks, they got rid if they’re Abrams some years ago.

This jives with my experience at a financial services company. I once sat next to the “big data team” and the company 5 year plan was all about delivering analytics and ai to customers using their data the company housed. The team consisted

That is true, but it’s also true of Blue Origin who are far behind spacex in so far as flying real hardware. The difference is Musk maniacal zeal and yes leadership. I’m frustrated with Musks politics too, but his drive can’t be denied.
