And when they mess up with OpenJDK they'll give it to the PHP community ? What about MySQL, which bureaucratic and loosely related community shall it be given in case thinks goes south in your opinion ?

You're right about gdm, still I didn't noticed it until you told me. I think most people just change the wallpaper and at most apply a different control theme. Well I don't really get you point on the controls and screen estate then. To me

I don't care about them drifting away. I might even understand some point they made about GNOME. What I don't appreciate it's some people in Ubuntu world (that would be community and canonical) blaming GNOME Upstream for the drift. They wan

This is an ugly desperate move and the Eclipse Foundation shouldn't take part in the fight and reject the project. But I pretty sure Oracle will bind money to the offer and the foundation will say yes. Oracle aim is control through bureaucr

They're just piggybacking trend and making profit of it, that how there used. Maybe not why and how they were designed. Still, IMHO, it is not fair and goes against the very definition of stock exchange.

Node.js neither. It merely passes the request to PHP-FPM. Neat hack but I fail to take it seriously. I don't see the benefit. Maybe I missed something.

Why an expensive Foundation ? Non profit organisation isn't enough ? Do they the plan to be imitating the MozFo / MozCo or Wikipedia system ? They do look like to money laundry system at times to me. I'm not a huge fan from a FOSS point of
