"they veered away from the simple email posting" IMHO, as a product, this is where they lost their way. This is when I stopped caring. Yet maybe this is where they had to go for a successful exit (read $$$). I don't know.

Right, I understand now. I read too fast, my apologies. Still that link is misleading because it made me feel I was going to have more information on _that_ extension in particular, not a generic page talking about permissions in general. N

Maybe but when I see "All data on your computer and the websites you visit This item contains an NPAPI plug-in. Caution: NPAPI plug-ins can do almost anything, in or outside of your browser. For example, they could use your webcam, or they

Well it is different. The aim is not competing standard here but rather unencumbered alternative so to me that XKCD comic isn't very relevant.

Right, I missread ! Copyright is now 70 years. So, assuming it was published between 1940 and 1942, it effectively felt in public domain hence, inmho ianal, both original story and recorded are now in public domain.

From the third comment on archive.org : "The three novels which make up the original Foundation trilogy were written as a magazine serial between 1940 and 1950, for a science fiction magazine edited by the legendary John W Campbell. They we

Thank for enlightening us on the matter. Well, maybe that would be worth a blog post ? What about a quarterly "state of the union" to let people see the big picture instead of apparently unrelated and confusing press release ? Not that it's

Facebook is just plain lying. I have zero doubt. No error here. A friend of mine, software developer as I am, hardly use Facebook because it doesn't like it. And when it does it is through _private_ messaging. And there, on my timeline was

While on the subject, what tools do you use to support your JS styling ? Linter / checker / autoindenter ... I know of http://jslint.com/ and http://www.jshint.com/ , any other one ? What is you're usual configuration for those tools ?

My memory is fuzzy about this but IIRC some folks from the Gnome Conduit project launched or talked about launching a web version of it. Not sure though. Sadly, the project seems dormant. Could be an interesting starting point anyway.

I think it still worth it. You can't have 100% availability. Even AWS sometimes fails. It's then just a matter of changing DNS record and have your server(s) handle the load in some kind of degraded mode. Peripheral but somewhat relevant, a
