My bad. I wasn't aware of that. Genuine question, did they also dis-invest in GMO (which tend to be bad for bio-diversity) ?

Or you could see it as concrete real world baby step ? It's AR for the car to interact with, through a steering but still interaction. I, personally, find that more interesting than VR toy/game I've seen so far.

Exactly, and I disagree on education. People can and must be taught on security (not just phishing). But that also mean some standardization on the browser UI and not trying to make it "seamless" and "transparent". This

Slightly OT, but it's HTTPS so it must be safe, right ? It's an example of why the "HTTPS everywhere" push annoys me, it gives false sense of security. Security resources should be better spent. Also, back on topic, Goog

I always though it was one of the pursuit of Google but NoSQL was all the rage and I was never taken seriously ... until F5 that is. Funnily enough, all what I would call "NoSQL papers" are very well known, yet F5 is hardly ever

The Sagrada is not a good example as it is more complex than traditional gothic. Part of the original plans were supposedly unsound and several architects intervened over the decades. But granted, we're still probably talking decades.

The NDK is a wrapper above a slew of C/C++ lib and those are not garbage collected. It make me think of PHP. The language is actually really slow but because most of it's standard library are wrappers around actual C library, a lo

Humm, I don't think you can equal an SDK to an OS. Before getting this high level, you really have to start with a kernel to handle/manage device. And this as a lot of constraint that yous simply can not fulfill with a garbage col

I'm sorry, I respectfully disagree on the "not enough" :-) I think it is a matter of choice of audience. If you want pure functional languages, there are plenty that will rock your boat (Haskell, OCaml ...). But, to my mind,

Ok, I've been oversimplifying by reducing it to the functional aspect of it (granted that might come from Scalaz recollection) but I stand by my opinion that too much functionalism will hurt. But, on the other hand, a balance has to be
