Yup. Anytime someone keeps advertising some trait, its probably a cover up. They might not even be aware of it.

This isnt true, nobody knows what will happen when you can very cheaply replicate software. The sales etc are valuable, but when the cost of producing the product goes to zero, weird things will happen.

One thing no one told me: When you cofound a company, its not the equity percent, but who is in control that matters. If you have 40%, and they get 60%, but legally or otherwise (you are the face of the company), then you have control and t

This is such a non issue and so far down the list of questions. Weve invented AI that can code, and you're asking about career progression? Thats the the top thing to talk about? Weve given life to essentially an alien life form

I am spamming it because I cannot believe how well it works. Its really about prompt construction and distilling the code base into something that can be fed to the coding agent

My general flow: 1. Build huge prompt with Repo Prompt (500k+ tokens) 2. Ask for gemini pro to summarize the task using above prompt 3. Hand off coding to codex (openai) The above flow replaces a junior developer

Yup. People have no clue, and it shows not only a skill gap, but a lack of curiosity and initiative to use these tools

they fail because software engineering is low status in europe, and so its low paid, and they have no talent to actually build good tech companies

I was going to make a post about this, any pro AI comment I make gets downvoted, and sometimes flagged. I think HN has people who: 1. Have not kept up with and actively experimented with the tooling, and so dont know how good they are. 2. H

Generally the product decisions are not given to the engineers. But yeah, engineers will be tuning, prodding, and poking ai systems to generate the code to match the business requirements.

Software engineering will be completely solved. Even systems like v0 are astounding in their ability to generate code, and are very primitive to whats coming. I get downvoted on HN for this opinion, but its truly going to happen. Any system

Another thing, is the number of engineers at HRT is not that many, and the number making > 600k is probably less than 2000. A miniscule amount

I'm not saying that, I'm saying you need a company with huge amounts of cash on hand to spend on R&D. The monopoly provides a safe space for it, like it or not, this system has worked.
