This was always one of my favorite shows. For (what started as) a police procedural, it was incredibly prescient in many ways.

I did read that but it seemed pretty clear that the comment thread and the comment you were responding to were not in fact discussing one specific instance, but rather the broader phenomenon: > these company investments ... > If the

It seems to me like the answer to "would you learn anything new by being a bat?" is necessarily yes, because you would at least learn the answer to the question itself.

I've seen people say this a few times here but the article says: "a growing number of employers around the country have decided to build their own housing for workers, mostly for them to rent but sometimes to buy."

Bit of an ironic stance for someone with the name Galen Erso to take ;)

> almost never need a fan While I am also concerned about and need the extra performance, this point seems somewhat underappreciated in discussions about the ARM macbooks. Fan noise is so incredibly annoying and distracting and I think n

Sadly I don't think this is true for art: https://restofworld.org/2023/ai-image-china-video-game-layof... I really hope it doesn't end up being the same with code :|

I've tried tic-tac-toe with it (GPT4, web platform - maybe results are different with the API and temp 0?) easily a dozen times using various ways to prompt it over the past few weeks, it only played well once so I'm assuming it w

I assume you're correct, I'm on the GPT4 API waitlist so I'll be able to better test these things once I get API access.

I don't think it harms them financially though. You still have to buy the macbook and I don't think they earn any significant amount of money from you running macOS on it after that, I've bought like one $6 app on the mac app

I was just using the ChatGPT web UI (with GPT4) so I didn't manually set the system prompt or the temperature. I checked all of yours and they do exist with the right researchers. I tried again in the web UI and it generated junk, when

I mean then what is the basis for calling him not a "real practitioner" while Yann LeCun is? It seems a little unfair to dismiss outright the opinion on a deep learning technology from a guy who won a Turing award for research int

I tested the Base64 thing with GPT4 and it produces code that does seem to work. There have been other tasks I've given it (C++, Clojure, JS) that it doesn't get on the first try or in some cases doesn't get at all though. On

While I do think there is some threshold where increased productivity makes positions redundant, I don't think 2x would do it in most orgs. My current team easily has enough work for us all to be 2x more productive.

I mostly work in Clojure and I've noticed this as well, it is usually more efficient to just write it myself if I know what I want to do. However for a language or stack I don't understand well where I just need something quick an
