While Lisp had big, influential ideas, it wasn't at any time the shortest path to getting their immediate task done, for "enough" programmers. The successful languages managed to be the shortest path to "done", for

FWIW, a related product, more general but less mature (I'm the author): http://onemodel.org/ (AGPL). Highly efficient at managing lists but doesn't yet share data between accounts except by exporting the data a

The Mormon church is really called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (of which I'm a member). It sounds like you might be thinking of the affiliated, free genealogy site, http://www.familysearch.org . It does

If you have any interest in helping to improve how mankind organizes its knowledge (as a whole or at any level), I'd love participation here (or just your exploring it in an academic way): http://onemodel.org (AGPL, a new

Others here have described really well the defects in most products for information managers, knowledge managers, note-takers, etc etc. I created OneModel ( http://onemodel.org ), as an org-mode alternative. (Really, an everythin

You might also find this interesting: http://onemodel.org : a way to manage all/arbitrary knowledge "atomically". The web site has a similar feel with different but partly overlapping goals.
