I believe you. But I had the same reaction as mkaziz. And was about to comment on this. So I think the takeaway is that people are turned off by this - and you can convince people on HN that you won't abuse it. But not everywhere. And,

I think this should be a major difference. Your normal workflow is sending thank you notes from email. Now you can do that, but the result is a beautifully hand written note. From anywhere.
