Love Atomic Shrimp. There is so much variety in his content, and always a focus on curiosity, trial and error, and learning things. One of the most positive channels on Youtube.

Yeah, I am obviously not a data scientist. I guess where I was getting at is they do not technically even need to know genres to recommend songs. In practice though, they probably have to know them anyway for playlists, but I assume they ca

Does it really need to think about the song contents? It can just cluster you with other people that listen to similar music and then propose music they listen to that you haven't heard.

I was at a security conference recently and one of the presentations had some TLP:RED slides in it. I couldn't help but find that pointless. The conference is open to the public, the only barrier to entry being a small amount of money

That original Glacier API was infamous for being extremely cheap to write to but prohibitively expensive to read from. Something like 10 cents per list objects request or something ridiculous like that. Can't remember the specifics but

My VW Golf has ABS based tire pressure monitoring and for the most part it works. The disadvantage is that it can only tell you if one tire is flat. If they all get slowly flat over time there won't be a significant discrepancy between

We do, but not everyone looks at them. I certainly do not always look at it. A pet peeve of mine is tissues/toilet paper/paper towels. Sometimes the price is "per roll", sometimes it is "per sheets". Sometimes

The thing is that there is a greater incentive to shrink than to inflate prices. Or at least, to do a combination of the two. Price-conscious consumers will probably choose the shrunk item over another brand that increased their price, even

Have you looked into orthokeratology? Basically, contact lenses you wear at night (which could perhaps be tolerable for you). Then, your vision stays fine during the day (mostly, it worsens gradually but it's manageable). I don't

Is it at all possible to use spaces as the thousands separator in Python f strings? At the very least, your tool wasn't able to figure it out and hardcoded most of the number I wrote in.

The vast majority of countries have into their laws that road vehicles must adhere to UN vehicle regulations. That's how enforcement happens - by whatever regulatory authority of the country the vehicle is to be used in. Canada and the

> If rates go up from 2% to 6+% while you're holding onto a $2m detached house, it's a bad situation to be in. I find it mind boggling that banks will lend money to people that cannot sustain a 4% increase to their mortgage rat

70 years? That's just plain false. This website from the government of Canada here says the max term is 25 years, or 30 if it is your first property: https://www.canada.ca/en/financial-consumer-agency/services

I'm genuinely surprised, I thought the release of the Telum chip signed the death of the POWER processors. Are they meant to be two different tiers of mainframe processors?

I've seen it before, but it was using Knuth's up-arrow notation [1], which I like because it generalizes easily. [1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knuth's_up-arrow_notation

I use OpenEmu on my Mac, so I guess Mupen64 as the emulator core. However as someone else mentioned the ROM should run on native hardware.

I love playing OOT randos. Not only is it a new puzzle every time, there are a lot of quality-of-life improvements (e.g. pushing blocks is faster, cutscenes are skipped) that make it much more enjoyable for someone who already knows the gam

I'm in the same boat for the most part. Always had tinnitus, for as long as I can remember. Doesn't bother me at all. However, for the past 3 or 4 years, during spring, I get much worse tinnitus in my right ear for a couple weeks.

Which kind of content would get people to pay? Certainly not memes and random youtube links. An obvious one would be porn, but then why would one pay for it on reddit as opposed to one of the existing platforms?
