How did you do the air sealing yourself? were you concerned about your continuous air/vapor/water barriers?

I read the whole article, and they say it's because pitchers are striking out batters more often now because that increase in spin puts balls just out of the hittable range. But beyond that, Baseball has been struggling in the last 5 o

I'm curious, what apps do you use day to day that need to be native? For me, 99% could easily be web-based, which makes "mobile web" the standard, and not necessarily "linux-phone."

Aside: I thought one of the big features of this release was Native menus. I was most looking forward to "look up" being an option in FF on Mac now. Do I have some weird setting that is stopping that, or is that still not possible

What do we gain by separating the button from the content it's connected to? I'm not a fan of the new Safari style either, but in that case it's at least because they are trying to let the pages bleed into the full window.

The problem with calorie counting is that we cannot reason about what a calorie looks like. what does 1 calorie of ice cream looks like? What about 1 calorie of broccoli? 1 calorie of steak? The solution is to switch to a macro focused diet

If you are in a major city you can often find used "high-end" chairs for reasonable price. I'm on a 5-year-old used Aeron I got for $275. Herman Miller has made newer fancier chairs but I'll ride this one for probably a

Exactly right. You'll want to work through some wording to get conversions, but also, that's a skill that you'll need to build anyway.

If you are a fullstack dev, I think you should learn a simple growth hack strategy that is helpful: - Take your idea, build a simple UI (not the app at all, just the UI) - Take that UI, and get a sign up modal on it - Take that and run ads

ah, I explicitly bought the anova because you don't need bluetooth to use it unlike the joule. I treat it like a toaster: plug it in, turn it on, cook. Never once tried the smart features cause I expect it to stink as you've seen.

Anova Sous Vide. Cooking perfect Chicken or pork chops every single time is an absolute joy. I don't eat as many steaks but also cooks them just the same. It's one of my go-to kitchen gadgets, and I cook most of my meals with it.
