Do companies actually care about the opinions of UK regulators, or is it too small of a market to change course to appease their regulators?

I partially enabled 2fa in GH (enabled it without setting up an actual second factor). Effectively it turns off password recovery. It lets me be in orgs that enforce a 2fa policy without having to actually have it on github. As far as other

I have noticed this as well. I speculate that it is knock-on effects from the tight monetary climate we are in. I think there are a lot of companies that have an uncertain future and are trying to be "default alive". Perhaps the s

GP seemed to be talking about physical access. How would passkeys stop them if they are are in physical possession of the device and can unlock it? It doesn't seem passkeys protect you more here.

Has it? I have used both libreoffice and openoffice, I had no idea openoffice was related to asf until I read your post. I have heard other talk about how people should use libreoffice, but it isn't apparent why.

It kind of feels like we are already there. Some form of curation of reports seems like it would be an achievable (partial) solution. It seems like it would be less than perfect, but perhaps better than the status quo.

Not the OP. I was thinking about this the other day in relation to social networks like Mastadon and Bluesky vs HN and Reddit. I have found Mastadon and things like it to not be sticky at all. I wanted to be involved in the community becaus
