I think it isn't super uncommon. Software engineering is my second career, and unlikely to be my last. Probably 30% of my co-workers had a non tech career before getting where they are. In my career transition I learned and grew a lot,

That was my take away as well. It seems like the authors biggest mistake was choosing a very complex architecture, and the remedy was simplifying into a single service using a framework the author was more familiar with.

That is what concepts fix. It lets you enforce at build time that `t` does have member `.bar()`.

Fall of Civilization is my favorite each year. They only released one (very long) episode in 2024. Each episode is pretty dense, and I end up listening to each one a few times. Can't recommend it enough.

Old scientific code broke for many people with the introduction of the mac m1. I would think this would be a continuing trend in the future. Staying on old versions simply isn't possible over a long period without keeping the hardware

Your post seems like an example of what GP is talking about. A source being biased doesn't mean it can't make a valid point, nor does it mean that MSN can't do their own vetting.

Nice, that seems to be fixed now. Thanks! I noticed another possible bug. When trying it out on your website, it reports an "Invalid URL" error.

I am getting a "Mobile version not available" modal that wont go away on its own on desktop. I can trick it by making my browser full screen, refreshing, then resizing it back to a half sized window.
