Modal interfaces are not "bad". They're often not intuitive, but intuitiveness is not the be-all and end-all of interfaces. It's a trade-off.

For me, all this talk about "speed and efficiency" has put me off of trying vim for a good while—I thought it was a waste to spend time and effort improving the speed of something that was never a bottleneck to start with. However

Come on—trying to determining the risk of a nuclear war or any global catastrophe and communicating that risk to the public seems pretty important to me. Don't fixate on the "imaginary clock" aspect, it's just a represen

On (most?) non English speaking countries, on top of the choice between 2D and 3D, you have to choose between subtitled and dubbed. Very often the only 2D option is the dubbed version—because kids, I guess—if any, because the other rooms ar

Loved it. I have a suggestion: What about making it easier to see where your troops are concentrated? Like making the tiles with more troops darker, with a stronger/heatmap colored border, or something.

Last time I saw, Windows' color picker was still awful. Plus you may not want a separate window for the color picker.

You misunderstood my comment. My point is that quitting WhatsApp, when everybody around you uses it, is not simple and does not warrant that snark.

That snark is uncalled for. Stopping using WhatsApp and Facebook would make communication with some groups much more difficult for me, for example, because everyone uses them.

Well being quotable is a thing on its own - you have to produce phrases that are witty, impactful, and, importantly, self-contained and short. That doesn't necessarily speaks to the quality of one's work.

Different ideas affect different people in different ways. For example, not having affordable healthcare affects people directly and might very well be a death sentence to some. Often, popular left-leaning causes are like that - causes wher
