Of course this comment is getting downvoted into oblivion. The open source community has no problem with sexism... noooo sir.

So you think sexism is cool? There's at least one slide in that talk with a very demeaning picture of a scantily clad woman at 6:55. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gweDBQ-9LuQ#t=417

New Year's Eve was also an odd choice for starting a last call.

Parrot should just be abandoned, MoarVM is the way to go.

Rakudo MoarVM is the real Perl6, and it's almost all green.

There seems to be a lot of hostility from both sides now. " Are the Yankees the best team in baseball? We used to think so. "

One aspect of this many seem to forget is HTTP as a backend protocol, you will have to set up certificates and keep them up to date there too.

For this to work we need free certificates. Many still keep referring to StartSSL, but there you just pay double later on in revocation fees. https://www.startssl.com/?app=43

That's simple, they just won't, browsers will only support HTTP/2 over TLS, so proxies are effectively dead.

When was the last time a COBOL project has generated as much buzz as Perl's Mojolicious has just yesterday? https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8095574

There was a kickstarter, but not enough backers for the subsetting tool stretch goal. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/232193852/font-awesome-...

Yes, it does. And it is quite obvious if you compare the grammar to the regular expression.
49.
▲

Of course it does, if that regular expression matches we have a valid URI. It's silly what gets downvoted on HN these days.

You do realize that RFC 3986 actually contains an official regular expression, right? http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986#appendix-B
