Agreed. From first hand experience, even for regulated electricity markets, games get played to maximize profit per power generated that are directly making stability worse. Fixing these loop holes is hard for the regulator since they are i

I'm so glad there are tools like this and swing back to selfhosted solutions, especially leveraging SSH tooling. Well done and thanks for sharing, will definitely be giving it a spin.

Very entertaining (and enlightening) read. I love the 'reach for club' visuals, made me laugh out loud a few times.

Makes sense. Appreciate the responses. Honestly though, as a person outside the US, I'm removing my dependence on US company IT tools and infrastructure, GitHub, VSCode, AWS etc, enterprise or otherwise.. Congrats on the project though

Thanks. I worry about these kind of tools connecting to production databases.. Especially considering how easy it is to switch out LLM endpoints, where that data is going, how it is retained, the context etc becomes a bit of a privacy night

Out of interest.. does the resultant data get used by the LLM or just generating SQL, executing and returning separately?

They will likely just charge a lot more money for these services. Eg, the $200+ per months I think could become more of the entry level in 3-5 years. Saying that smaller models are getting very good, so there could be low margin direct mode
