In the hexagons, 30-degree lines could be considered as well — there might even be solutions when treated analogously to pandiagonal magic squares.

A BSD or MIT (or any other) license doesn’t remove copyright. For example, copyright reserves the author the right to also release the work under a different license in the future. AI output doesn’t have such associated rights.

I’m assuming you can only use it with string literals, hence it is less universally useful.

It was before everything became widescreen. 1280x1024 at 19” was pretty common I think, which is 86 PPI and would correspond to FHD at 25.5”. I still have a 27” 1920x1200 from 2007 at roughly the same PPI, which was considered a high-end mo

There was a time when these were considered super sharp high-resolution monitors. Fonts tended to be more optimized for (sub)pixel-level hinting in the past, though, while newer fonts and font rendering are more blurry on low-res monitors t

Admittedly I’m not so familiar with Python; it does work in Java. In that case, introducing a less hazardous string concatenation operator would seem more universally useful.

I’m not sure what you mean by manual formatting. You do need a place in your program where you fill in the parameters into the respective localized string template. I agree that the printf format syntax is somewhat limited for localization

It’s unclear what the big advantage is over `print("Age: "+age)`. It’s even more characters, in that specific example.

> why use format strings Because these are used for locale-specific configuration data. `"This is here: {x+y} blah"` on the other hand isn’t a string (mere data), it’s a program, because you can have arbitrary expressions insid

My family name was already taken as a domain 25 years ago, but well, you can’t expect to be able to own any but the most rare names. However, the space is large enough that you can invent a name that is available, and it’s fine. I’m more an

I regularly listen to recent music, but often tracks I explicitly search for, and autoplay based on those I “liked”. My “Liked Music” playlist has several thousand entries, so I suspect that heavily steers what I’m presented with.

You can actually tap on the channel name and scroll down to see the About section (at least on iOS). I never had genAI tracks being suggested on YouTube Music. Though it might be a factor that my account predates genAI music.

Habituation is difficult to overcome. If domain names had been freeform from the start, we wouldn’t have this particular issue. Domain names are still a finite space, given that a full domain name can be at most 253 characters, and each dom
