Just watched it, I have to agree, it made a lot things clear that I just didn't understood before, like detached HEAD. Here's the youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ffBJ4sVUb4

That is exactly what struck me as well, I guess BLE 4 doesn't consume near that much energy as some people (me) think it does. So probably it's the display that consumes the most amount of energy. And since this device also has no

I've read On Lisp by pg, and I'm passionate about using emacs (still depend too much on vim for productivity), so I'd love to start using Lisp-y languages everywhere. But it seems it's not main-stream [1] enough to hav

Agreed, this is what some of the new startups that make something "secure" soo often overlook. They make put UX (if you can call it that), over real security. It's still possible to deliver a great user experience and backup

I'm not sure I'd want my battery to be "that" smart, safety measures coded into the power/battery drivers (which would be present on the battery itself, not main OS drivers) sounds about right. Optimizing and things

MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011) 2.3Ghz i5, self-upgraded hardware to 16GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM, Samsung SSD 120GB, caddy with 500GB HD, replaced battery with cheap Chinese, running 10.10.3 like a charm (only my SD-card slot never worked).

Funny as it is, you'll be spending more time figuring which components to buy and which ones you actually need. And eventually figuring out how to build enclosures/boxes for you projects. Power supply also seems to be a difficult

I've also had luck with 3.5" HD enclosures, they were as cheap as the drive without enclosure and with a bit creativity make for very nice looking enclosures for electronic projects. Another pro-tip I picked up is using match-boxe

I didn't took that into account, thanks! Still much more is nowadays possible then people realise. And it scares me how little some users care about privacy issues when uploading photo's/video's. Of course it doesn'

I'd suggest going trough learn-common-lisp-in-y-minutes (1) just to get an idea about the syntax, read On Lisp (2) and Practical Common Lisp (3) and just starting using it to build stuff. On Lisp by pg explains very well what lisp is a
