Trump is going to reduce the USA's proxy-emissions in China if he pulls through on tariffs at least I guess.

You miss the point. It's not that I enact authority over my system in every detail all the time, but I want the ability to choose authority on the aspects that matter to me in a given circumstance.

Graphite has raster editing in their roadmap[1], but afaik it's not really there yet. [1] https://graphite.rs/features/

Could you see this having a CAD-like mode? I really see a gap there in terms of open-source projects. I see that you have constraints on your roadmap, but that's not what I mean. I am specifically referring to the 2D mode of Vectorwor

We are using a LLM as an actor in a stage play. It has the text we are making an adaptation of as context, as well as all the rehearsals. We are using whisper for transcribing the rehearsals, chromaDB with all-MiniLM-L12-v2 for context/

What would be your current recommendation on how to create a vector db from local files that would work with LLocalSearch?

We should make clothing that can be reversibly fitted to many body types, can be repaired and can endure many use cycles. Your model might be viable too though, if we use high quality yarn and knit the clothing in a way that the yarn can be

Does it really though? The heat setting process doesn't seem reversible so it's just one step in the initial manufacturing and after that it doesn't seem to be expected to change.

It says 11.5mm in my mother tongue already. Might just be a slip-up then.

How is this an either-or situation if you could just provide an additional internationalization for 'preferred language english' + 'IP outside of US'? 'less than an inch (11.5mm)' would still be a better specif

Funny how you say total spending and then argue with a percentage but aside from that do you really want to argue that Apple doesn't care about the total spending of, say, India just because they make up a smaller percentage of the wor

If it is the US website I'm just asking where the international english website is I guess. Choosing UK or South Africa doesn't make the inch go away. This is totally fine for companies targeting US domestic markets I guess but I

I can deal with the screen sizes, as they are used everywhere ( it's similar to e.g. 3.5mm jack I guess) and you know what's meant by that, but stating the thickness in inches got me.

I'm always a bit irritated when editors still use inch measurements exclusively, when it's only used in 3 countries officially still. Not talking about screen sizes obviously, but I really don't have an intuition for what &#x

I should try this again, too. Glicol looks nice and quite a bit more ergonomic than what I remember from Supercollider. Do you know of anything in the live coding space that can handle recording/looping/mangling of external audio

1. If I understand correctly they talk about whether you need an account to lurk or not (I'd agree) and 2. the same does not apply to Mastodon. There even are CLI clients and I'd be interested to hear where you got the impression

I'm familiar with policies that generally strive for specificity of (0, 1, 0) like BEM or (1, 0, 0), but I'd be very interested in any policy that rules out pseudo-classes like `:hover`, as prohibiting them would leave you to hand

The rules of CSS specificity are a bit more involved than '!important' or not, and I frequently see beginners trip there, but apart from that I agree that the CSS rule set might be worth incorporating.

If you take mining and the fact that solar power can be installed on top of existing infrastructure into account, the comparison of land use is still in favor of nuclear, but definitely not "almost zero".

Shading instead of outlines might look nice. Should be relatively easy to implement if you use hsl colors and set the lightness as a function of the nodes rotation.

I get your point about small cities, but suburbs? They are attached to larger cities, so they may take the drive down from 10 hours to maybe 9.5. How does that make that much of a difference?

It would be great to have an 'rem for css animations' where you don't specify your transition times in seconds but in fractions of a base unit, which might default to 1 second, but can be changed in your browser settings simi
