You’re missing the point if that’s you’re take away because I’m saying is overly complex rules are more likely to harm smaller players than they are the larger ones given larger organisations have the resources and motives to work exploit l

I’ve never owned Bose nor Beats specifically but more generally I find bassiness is a desirable feature rather than a gimmick for dumb consumers. With room sized speakers it’s not a problem because you’ll have multiple cones dedicated to th

I’d have still expected them be writable because unlike CDs, writing a magnetic field isn’t destructive. But what I meant was whether cheap blank disks used a slightly different (cheaper) magnetic alloy with a shorter read/write limit

So have I. But I also remember plenty of floppies that I’ve written data to not even surviving the 30 minute cycle to college back in the 90s. Maybe consumer floppies were of a lower quality than published ones? I don’t know if that’s true

That’s nearly impossible to do though because the bigger the company the more resources they have to figure out loopholes and then to exploit them. And the more profitable exploiting those loopholes becomes thus the more tempting it is to a

Far more complicated and harms the little players far more than the current system. Any law has to treat everyone equally otherwise it’s always going to be the Disney’s et al who win.

I worked at a publishing company who had T1 for hosting their online content. What amazed me was how quickly that went from state of the art to pretty mediocre.

What moaners of Discord often forget is that setting up your own IRC channel and monitoring that isn’t the value add for the FOSS project. It’s an additional maintenance overhead. So if maintainers choose Discord because it is easier for th

I’ve seen recruiters “leak” a lot of “confidential” information from their clients saying “I’ve been asked not to share this but…”. I’ve always taken such messages with a pinch of cynicism but typically such messages are corresponded by pho
